The One-Month UGC Glow-Up (August Sprint Edition)

Back to School? Nah. We’re Back to UGC.
Let’s be real: August can feel like a weird in-between. Summer’s still hanging on, but that “new season” energy is quietly creeping in. And if you’re anything like most creators, you’ve either had a chaotic few months or you’re feeling the urge to reset.
That’s why we put together a low-pressure, four-week plan to help you refocus and refresh your UGC game before the busy season kicks in. And yep — we’ve made a free Canva template to help you stay on track. You’ll find it at the end of this post 👀
Forget “back to school.” This is back to content, and you’re doing it on your terms.
Week 1: Shake the Dust Off Your Portfolio
Time to take a hard look at your Canva and Twirl portfolio. Is it showing the best version of what you can do?
Replace anything that doesn’t reflect your current skill level. Add a mix: a talking-head clip, an aesthetic b-roll, a testimonial. And check your bio + pinned video—are they still aligned with your niche?
💡 Tip: Prioritise evergreen or ad-ready content that brands can use all year round.

Week 2: Try Something New (Even If It’s Messy)
Shake up your skillset. Try a CapCut transition you’ve never used. Record your first voiceover. Play with a TikTok green screen or a split-screen format. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just different.
Not sure where to start? Scroll through other creators' work. What formats are catching your eye? What edits feel fresh or fun? Take note of what’s working right now, not to copy, but to spark your own ideas.
And remember: the tutorials for all the coolest transitions? They’re literally all on Tiktok. It’s free, it’s there, and you don’t need a paid course to level up.
If you want more structure, we’ve got you. Join our August webinar or catch a replay of a past creator workshop.

Week 3: Send the Pitch You’ve Been Putting Off
This week, we’re pitching — but with intention. No copying and pasting a generic message to 30 brands. Think of two or three you genuinely love and use, and write to them like a human. Keep it short, kind, and clear.
Also, don’t sleep on brands you’ve already worked with. A simple “just checking in, would love to collaborate again this autumn” email goes a long way.
Want to make your pitch feel more relevant? Try a themed hook: “I’m prepping my autumn UGC schedule and would love to feature [Brand] again.”

Week 4: Build Trust Before They Even Hit Your Inbox
Social proof is your secret weapon. If a brand sees that other people have booked you (and loved the results) it takes a lot of the guesswork out of saying yes.
So this week is about making that proof visible. Reach out to 1–2 past clients and ask for a short testimonial. Or, if someone’s already sent you kind feedback, ask if you can share it publicly.
You can also build a simple “Results Reel”: a short video or carousel showing content that got high saves, comments, or glowing messages from the brand. Sprinkle those stats into your pitch pack, portfolio, or Twirl bio. It doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be honest.
Another easy win? Repost one of your top-performing videos, but this time, add updated stats or a behind-the-scenes caption.

Gentle Reminder: You’re Not Behind,Y you’re Building
This whole month isn’t about chasing some kind of perfect version of yourself. It’s about reconnecting with your creativity, reflecting your growth in your portfolio, and heading into Q4 with clarity and confidence.
You don’t need to burn out to succeed. You just need to keep showing up for yourself and your work in small, intentional ways.
We’re so proud of everything you’ve built already, and we can’t wait to see what’s next. Let’s get glowing ✨
